PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Account Manager I - EME will provide post deal and pre-deal support for the EME BDMs and EME partners assigned to them. This role requires knowledge of our systems/processes to accurately and timely address customer issues. This role is customer facing and requires the ability to communicate effectively with customers in person, on the phone, or via email to strengthen our relationships and drive customer satisfaction. This role is also responsible for cultivating and managing strategic relationships with companies whose offerings facilitate increased participation in Constellation's Efficiency Made Easy (EME) product line.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Demonstrates strong post deal solutions and demonstrates advanced skills to assist customers/EME partners with issue resolution. Performs quality proactive first bill checks and calls. Responsible for Adds/Drops/Changes in Ownership. (20%)
  • Pre-deal support of direct and indirect customers/EME partners. Internal deal coordinator to clear issues and obtain approvals for pricing and contracting. (25%)
  • Exhibits strong knowledge of systems/processes as well products/services to ensure a best in class customer experience. Participates in efforts to enhance and improve processes and systems to better serve our customers/EME partners. (10%)
  • Displays consistent proactive behaviors to strengthen customer relationships. Demonstrates organizational agility and communication skills to serve as a liaison with cross functional teams to quickly and accurately resolve issues. Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone, or via email. (5%)
  • Market Development & On-Boarding: Collaborating with the team to identify market needs and trends to ensure adequate market coverage of alliance relationships to support regional and team sales goals. Responsible as the primary owner of the Alliance Partner onboarding steps and activities. Interfaces with prospective partners, contract admin, legal, EHS, credit, operations, and sales to ensure a successful onboarding experience. Create Alliance Partner business profiles and validate business cases for prospective partners. Screen prospective partners to ensure they meet expectations of Constellation's partnership model, terms and contracts. Responsible for identification and execution of re-certification of partners. Interfaces with existing partners, contract admin, legal, EHS, credit, operations, and sales to ensure successful recertification experience. Provide reporting, analysis and communication to help establish and manage activity and progress with prospective alliance targets and on-boarding (15%)
  • Alliance Account Management: Arrange and support Alliance Partner strategic planning meetings/workshops for Key and Target partners to ensure aligned business models and objectives, effective sales engagement processes, and overall market positioning tactics. Monitor alliance execution and delivery performance. Work with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to identify and address deviation from expected performance. Establish regular phone and email contact with Alliance Partners to increase presence, obtain feedback, and ensure that Constellation is meeting expectations. Analyze customer experience surveys and support customer and Alliance Partner contact to improve satisfaction levels. (10%)
  • Standards: Upholds standard operating procedures for qualifying and on-boarding Alliance Partners associated with EME. Maintains the Alliance Partner database. Identifies and implements improvements to database and reporting. Maintains document control with marketing, sales, EHS, and operations for Alliance Partner Playbook and all associated training sessions documents. Maintains and updates existing process documents. Provides input and review and supports final presentation. Supports the communication of broadcasts to Alliance Partners for updates to standards, tools and processes. (5%)

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to function in a team environment and to maintain rapport with employees and customers.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and independent decision-making.
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with internal customers.
  • Flexibility on the job and the ability to work under multiple, daily deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of energy markets and industry.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information always

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of industry experience
  • 2+ years of sales or sales support experience
  • Preference for experience working for or with organization(s) which sell and implement efficiency or other energy solutions.
  • Preference for demonstrated knowledge of efficiency offerings including, for example, lighting, mechanical systems, VFDs, controls, etc.
