PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Contribute directly to the growth of Constellation’s Mass Market revenue, profits and market share by taking primary responsibility for gaining and retaining customers acquired through aggregation programs. Provides regional direction to other BDMs in setting strategy related to sales, pricing and coordination efforts. Takes the lead on creating and maintaining relationships with aggregation communities’ leadership, brokers and consultants and other association leadership. Develop preferred relationships with such groups and manage sales programs through such groups. Displace Constellation competitors and defeat them in competitive sales campaigns.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Profitably grow and manage a large book of Mass Market customers acquired through aggregation or endorsement. Successfully prospect either directly or in conjunction with agents for new customers utilizing effective means that match Constellation’s core values.
  2. Manage the aggregation or endorsement program details to ensure customer account details are supplied to Constellation support resources so customer enrollments, terminations, renewals and customer service are handled in accordance with the contract terms and conditions set forth for the program. Ensure aggregation and other program offers are in compliance with regulatory rules and requirements for such programs. Take responsibility for the overall maintenance of the programs including pricing, renewals, and customer service.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with aggregation community leaders, agents/brokers and other end user group leaders either directly. Manage marketing programs with these groups for mutual benefit.
  4. Provides strategic guidance and assistance to other aggregation team members. Coordinates regional efforts for aggregation origination, pricing, operational activities and customer service. Ensuring all functional groups are fully alighted to support aggregation activities.
  5. Maintains a strong understanding of the regulatory environment and take a leadership role in helping drive regulation to advance Constellation’s aggregation and Mass Markets efforts.

Qualifications

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related field of study or equivalent experience or
  • A minimum of 5 years of business experience, preferably in marketing or communications and in the wholesale or retail energy industry
  • Detailed knowledge of sales, operations and related business practices and principles
  • Ability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to successfully complete business process and system changes within team environment
  • Ability to provide informal direction and guidance to other team members
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and the Internet
  • Flexibility on the job and the ability to work under multiple, daily deadlines for self and others that may or may not report to this role
  • Ability to write business correspondence and e-mails.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several different tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information at all times.
  • Travel as required by customers’ and businesses’ needs.
  • All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English
Preferred:
  • A minimum of 1 years of retail energy experience
  • A minimum of 1 years of direct sales and business development experience
