PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Sr. Project Manager - under general direction and supervision is responsible for the profitable execution of ongoing services, O&M, Solar, M&V and Commissioning, under the long-term project.  This position will be the primary interface to the customer ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction.  Coordinate subcontractors and other various activities in support of the ongoing services listed above.  Ensures that work performed by sub-contractors is of high quality, on-time, within budget and within the scope of their contract.  It is paramount that work also adheres to Constellation and Customer safety standards and regulations. This position is located at Naval Station Great Lakes

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Act as the primary Constellation interface to customer.
  • Act as the primary on-site leader for the coordination and execution of O&M, Solar, M&V and Commissioning services.
  • Manage risks and establish plan of action and milestones when required.  Resolves disputes with minimal need for escalation.
  • Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with customers and subcontractors.  Manage job progress meetings as required.  Ensures subcontractors understand expectations.
  • Coordinate/Communicate with Appropriate Constellation managers to ensure proper allocation of resources needed to meet ESPC objectives.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Construction Management or Business Administration or an Associate’s Degree with equivalent work-related experience and minimum of ten (10) years of direct project management experience in the industry.
  • Management experience with projects that include HVAC Mechanical and Controls, Solar, Measurement and Verification.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong Personal Computer working capabilities in MS Office (excel, word, power point) and other basic Windows applications.
  • Understands requirements for documentation in work papers, disclosures and memos; demonstrated ability to document a broad range of technical issues.
  • Demonstrated successful use of technology to improve process efficiency.
  • Effective leaderships skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Commitment to highest standards of quality and integrity.
  • Exude a high degree of professionalism and treats others with respect.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  1. POSITION SCOPE
  • Manage day-to-day activities associated with the execution of O&M, Solar, Commissioning and M&V services.  This involves managing various sub-contractors performing work on base as well as acting as a liaison between them and the customer.
  • Work with various departments within the Asset Operations Group as well as other areas of the company, to accomplish goals, resolve issues and enhance and improve processes.  Contact with others requires tact and persuasiveness.
  • Work maybe varied and somewhat difficult in nature, but usually involves limited responsibility.  Requires moderate exercise of judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to select the most appropriate course of action.
  • Proactively notify internal Constellation stake holders (O&M, Solar, M&V and Commissioning) of any operational issues or customer concerns.
  • Position requires a high degree of self-sufficiency and minimal supervision.
